About the Directory

The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) and the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) have worked together to create, organize, and maintain this new section of the kids.RI.gov website. Our goal is to provide a centralized place that has reliable information and listings of resources, services, and supports for children and youth with special healthcare needs (CYSHCN) and their families.

This website focuses on what is available within Rhode Island for children, families, primary care physicians, clinicians, and other service providers. The information contained here is searchable and browsable by category. Our goal is to improve collaboration among clinicians, their teams, and families to improve health-related, educational, and social outcomes for children and youth who have special healthcare needs.

In partnership with the RIPIN, certified Community Health Workers (CHWs) regularly update the information on this website. While we make every effort to keep information accurate and current, information and listings may change without our knowledge.
